They cafe is Jimmy’s Greek.

They will always sit outside never inside, they watch people and smoke.

They talk about this weekend’s plans, they live for the weekend.

The weekend is here.

They will end up in the Vibe Bar on Brick Lane, the night is Chick a Boom!

They will drink they will dance to 60s soul and ska music.

They will move on to a bar in Soho, they will pop pills and live for the moment.

They will leave alone.

They will meet the next day in Hanbury Street and go to a little cafe named Rosa’s.

It’s a vintage cafe full of old tables and chairs with inscriptions covering them.

Rosa’s has leaded windows and hanging boxes of Italian cake suspended from the ceiling.

They later go to an International cinema to watch a Bollywood film.

They are rebellious, innovative and beautiful.

They are the Mods of Autumn/Winter 2011.

Collaboration

To link my concept ideas and bring it to life I have collaborated with an Animator and good friend Ibrahim Khan. I have created a group of characters that are the inspiration behind my collection.

Character Manifesto

A group of 18 year olds are living in London; they have a variety of ethnic backgrounds.

They are fast moving ahead of the norm and stereotypical society.

Their passions are music, clothes, drugs and money.

They are a cult.

A cult that is superficial, elegant and live for the moment.

They are artists, expressionists, modernity and children.

They dress to create a persona, a hard and rigid personality.

Their appearance produces a perfection of style and individuality.

They carry a camera everywhere they go to capture culture and moments of now, of contemporary lifestyle.

Inside the minds of this cult you will meet the child within the body.

They are juvenile delinquents in its elitist form.

They are the kids of London and the future.

They are young beautiful people. They are the mods of 2011.

They are fast moving a prodigy for the future of 2010s.

They will annoy, inspire and influence a political audience that judges their style.

They are my muse, inspiration and fascination.
